UAE - Mubasher: The UAE has provided Japan with 22.626 million barrels of crude oil in May, representing 32% of Japan's total oil imports of 70.745 million barrels, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
The UAE is Japan's second-largest oil supplier, as Japan has imported around 29.9% of its crude oil from the UAE by September 2019, as shown by data from the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy in Tokyo.
In 2018, Japan acquired a 40-year oil concession in Abu Dhabi, reflecting the growing economic relations between the two countries.
